Yangwang U9 Xtreme: The Fastest Electric Car on the Planet
15 September 2025
Yangwang U9 Xtreme reached a top speed of 480.484 km/h, setting a new mark for electric and production vehicles. The result speaks to focused engineering and a clear goal, build a car that sets new limits for speed while staying fully electric.
The U9X builds on the standard U9 with key upgrades. It uses a 1200V system, a Blade Battery with a 30C discharge rate, and four high‑speed motors with a combined output above 1,300 PS. The setup delivers 0 to 100 km/h in under two seconds.
Production is limited to 30 units worldwide, with two units assigned to Kuwait. That makes the model rare and highly sought after, a showcase of innovation and control at speed.
For Kuwait, U9X is more than a headline. It is a proof point that high performance and electric power can live together today, not someday. The car sets a clear standard for what comes next in this space.
