During the workshop, the BYD Alghanim team delivered a presentation focused on NEV safety and charging infrastructure, sharing key insights and best practices related to electric vehicles. The team also showcased an NEV charger, providing an opportunity to demonstrate charging technology and further support awareness around safe and efficient EV charging.

The Workshop brought together industry stakeholders to encourage knowledge sharing, collaboration, and greater preparedness as Kuwait continues to embrace the future of electric mobility.

The activation was supported by exclusive offers made available specifically for Ooredoo employees, giving them direct access to the brands and their latest models in a convenient workplace setting. Beyond the test drive experience, the collaboration also introduced supporting infrastructure, with BYD chargers installed at Ooredoo’s headquarters to facilitate convenient charging for electric vehicle users and support the company’s forward-looking approach to mobility. By combining workplace engagement, dedicated offers, and charging infrastructure, the partnership reflects a broader collaboration between the brands and Ooredoo to promote accessible and sustainable mobility solutions in Kuwait, with more to come

The U9X builds on the standard U9 with key upgrades. It uses a 1200V system, a Blade Battery with a 30C discharge rate, and four high‑speed motors with a combined output above 1,300 PS. The setup delivers 0 to 100 km/h in under two seconds.

Production is limited to 30 units worldwide, with two units assigned to Kuwait. That makes the model rare and highly sought after, a showcase of innovation and control at speed.

On Earth Day, which falls on 22 April, BYD Alghanim partnered with Invest GB in a unique collaboration that showcased our shared vision for a greener future. Together, we rolled out our full lineup of 6 New Energy Vehicles (NEVs)—Song Plus, Qin Plus, Han, Seal, Atto 3, and the all-new Sealion 7—to offer a sustainable and stylish commute for Invest GP employees.

Each vehicle was dispatched to pick up team members from their homes and transport them to work, giving them a firsthand experience of BYD’s cutting-edge electric technology, comfort, and performance. This initiative highlighted the practicality of switching to clean energy vehicles while reinforcing our joint dedication to reducing carbon emissions and promoting eco-conscious living.
